Block printing is a unique and versatile medium that has been used for centuries as a means of printmaking and textile design. Join Nina for a workshop at the Carriage House to create an original block print of your own! You will learn how to transfer your vision onto a carving medium, carve the block and then use it to print a repetitive & decorative design onto a cotton tea towel to be gifted to someone you love or used in your home for years to come. The block can be taken home and used forever to print holiday cards, prints, your own textiles or anything you can dream up. Bring ideas of what you might like to carve, a little patience and a lot of creativity!
