Join Wild Rosie at the Carriage House for an investigation into the potential of cyanotype, an antique and mesmerizing photographic process using the power of sunlight. Initially used to catalog botanical samples and specimens, Nina of Wild Rosie has experimented with this medium to create rich blue prints of portraits combined with drawings and botanicals. In this workshop, we will use portraits of someone of your choosing, drawing processes and botanicals to create beautiful, permanent thoughtful prints in rich, deep blues.
Ages 16+ are welcome.
Before the workshop, please email a portrait of who you would like to make a print of to Nina at hello@wildrosiemaine.com (there is some preliminary prep that must take place to make this printing process possible) It can be you, a loved one, a pet, an antique found photo, etc! You are also welcome to bring plants from your garden to incorporate into the printing process.
